Australian brokers can now access Delta Insurance’s Cyber insurance and Management Liability insurance directly through Ebix Sunrise Exchange, Australia’s only independent digital insurance trading platform.
The launch marks Delta’s first deployment on Sunrise Exchange. It extends the platform’s reach in the financial lines space, giving brokers a faster, more seamless way to quote and bind two products that are increasingly in demand across the SME insurance market.
A Faster Path to Market for Financial Lines Insurance
Commercial and specialty product builds typically take six to nine months or more. This launch moved faster, made possible through a close collaboration between Delta, Entsia, and Ebix from the outset.
Entsia, an existing Ebix-accredited insurance technology partner, used its two-week accelerated accreditation process to help get Delta live on Sunrise Exchange in a timeframe that would otherwise be difficult to achieve. Entsia now has 10 customers and 24 products live on Sunrise Exchange, and that experience translated directly into fewer delays and no compromise on quality.
Philip Fourie, Managing Director of Ebix Australia, said: “This launch highlights the strength of Sunrise Exchange as a distribution platform for insurers looking to reach the Australian broker market efficiently. Sunrise continues its rapid ascent as the leading digital placement platform and is the preferred choice for over 670 brokerages across Australia. By bringing relevant new products onto the platform, we’re helping brokers access greater choice within their existing workflows while supporting adoption, efficiency and growth across the market.”
What Brokers Can Now Access on Sunrise Exchange
Delta’s Cyber insurance and Management Liability insurance products are now available on Sunrise Exchange, designed to meet the protection needs of SME clients operating in increasingly complex risk environments.
The Sunrise deployment also supports Delta’s broader approach to financial lines coverage. Commercial Legal Expenses, designed to integrate with both Cyber and Management Liability, adds pursuing legal capability to traditionally defensive insurance, making it a more complete offer for brokers and their SME clients.
Delta’s Managing Director, Hamish MacLean, said: “Brokers can access Delta’s covers quickly and seamlessly, without compromising on underwriting quality or coverage intent. The Sunrise Exchange launch aligns with Delta’s broader strategy of meeting brokers where they want to trade.”
Built on an Existing Insurtech Relationship
Delta and Entsia have been working together since 2023, when Entsia’s platform began powering a BizPack product for Delta’s New Zealand customers. This Australian launch builds on that relationship, and both companies are exploring further product opportunities on the platform.
Alistair McElligott, CEO and Founder of Entsia, said: “This is a strong example of what can be achieved when an insurer, technology partner and distribution partner work together with a clear commercial objective. By combining a proven platform, deep commercial insurance expertise and Entsia’s Ebix-approved accelerated accreditation approach, we’ve helped Delta move faster than anyone else to capture a market opportunity.”
Teresa Pollard, CEO of Delta Insurance, added: “This partnership has enabled us to respond quickly to broker demand, building on Delta’s internal technology leadership and our existing relationship with Entsia. The result is a familiar, easy-to-use process that gives brokers access to Delta’s Cyber and Management Liability products so they can deliver the best possible outcome for their clients.”
More Financial Lines Choice for Australian Brokers
Delta’s arrival on Sunrise Exchange is part of the continued growth in the platform’s insurance product marketplace. Alongside financial lines, Sunrise Exchange supports a broad range of commercial, personal lines, and specialty products from insurers and underwriting agencies across Australia.
For brokers placing Cyber insurance or Management Liability for SME clients, that means direct access within existing workflows, no additional systems, no duplicate data entry, and a consistent digital experience from quote through to bind.
Delta Insurance’s Cyber and Management Liability products are now live on Ebix Sunrise Exchange.
